Oakley is our first Old English Sheepdog, bred by Jan and Steve Betts he was bought as a pet. We were so proud of him so at the age of 6 Months we decided we wanted to show him off and entered our first dog show The Midland OES Club open show in December 1998, handled by Jan Oakley came first in Minor Puppy dog in a Class of 4, that was it we had caught the bug!!

Claire started showing Oakley in February 1999, having some fun and qualifying for Crufts. In 2000 handled by Claire, Oakley won his first CC under Ann Arch at The Lancastrian OES Championship show, a magical day that we will never forget. At Crufts 2001 Oakley won the Limit dog class with an entry of 16, under judge Ruth Wilkinson. In the same year he won 8 Limit classes and his 2nd CC at the WKC under Janet Kincaid then winning his 3rd CC and Champion title at The Greater London OES Club Championship Show under judge Mavis Chapman. Oakley has also won 3 RCCs from Jean Collins, Barrie Croft and Ann Lucas. Oakley gave us so many wonderful memories in the show ring, we know how lucky we are to make our first Bobtail and Show dog a Champion, he is a very special boy.

Now at the age of nearly 12 he is still such a character and makes us laugh on a daily basis, he loves nothing more than being with his family and eating an endless supply of carrots!! He is a once in a lifetime dog.
